Exclamation Better control to Guild Leader

Hi,

I have thought that Guild Wars need more control over guild system.
At the moment, there are only three "class" (Leader, Officer, Member).

It would be better when leader can make few other "classes", too.
For example "recruiter" = can invite more people to guild but can't kick no-one out. , "battlemaster" = When arranging guild battle there must be one officer in party (right?) and few other "classes" as well.

But the main reason is that leader can freely make few "classes" to his/her guild to better organize it.

For example:
It's quite annoying when you trust some member too much, and promote he/she to officer. And when he/she have bad day, will kick all the members from guild and then left the guild aswell.
(maybe too rare, but have happened few times in scene)

What are you thinking about GW's guild control? Have you also wanted to see some changes?

It does happen, but generally speaking, this is because the guild leader put to much trust in a person that simply did not deserve it.

For example;

"Come join my guild, first 5 people to join can be officers!!!"

That's a recipe for disaster. You know nothing about those people, for all you know, they are joining simply to screw you up for the fun of it. I'm not saying this is the only time this sort of things happen, but if a guild leader takes their time in getting to know the members in their guild, they can usually have a pretty good idea of who is officer material and who isn't.

I Agree. That was only an harsh example what I said.

Those "classes" will also help to manage in many ways, not only in mentioned area.

Using search will allow you to realize that there are a billion of these kinds of threads, most of which probably got closed or are unsigned.

That search-option isn't really useful all the time. It give tons of wrong answers which doesn't even contain what is searched. And that's not allow nobody to realize anything.
An if it's over two years old message, it's OK to pop it out.
(There "may" be more GW-players now than few years before... And I suppose that all doesn't read all those "billions" messages when they join these forums)
[/offtopic]

More serious and smart thoughts about this thread?
Thank you.

It seems that these recent readers can't understand ironical text..or even read at all.. too bad.

I really hoped to get some serious conversation in here, about the topic

Firstly...i think that pic is not at all funny!

Secondly, I agree...Guild leaders do need more control over their guilds. A few more ranks would be a better way t manage a guild. I especially like the recruiter rank, which will allow general people to increase a guild's size. That can only help the smaller guilds imho

I would like to see more versatility added to the Guild system. Guilds are, of course, the main factor in GUILD Wars, so why shouldn't it be one of the more complex parts?

I would personally like to see-

Customizeable Ranks

Channels for Rank "X" and Up

Added options for Guild Halls

Alliance Rosters (pl0x!)

Ranking of Guilds in Alliance (Akin to the in-guild Officer feature but with the added customization of my earlier ideas)

Naming of Alliances

This next one is definitely more than we will ever get. A prolonged series of battles between either sole guilds or whole alliances in an actual war. Not a GvG, but an all our war. Battling over territories and eventually moving in to the enemy guild's hall and vanquishing their leader. This wouldn't have a ladder, but would be a recreational activity between friendly guilds just as something else to do with your guild.

This is just some of what I have written down somewhere. It will most likely never go in, but I can dream, right?

Please take some time out of your schedule to read the index of ideas before posting. And/or search for similar ideas.

This can already be found in the Index - Closed.
